Starting with Version 4.0, WP Job Openings is officially rebranded as HireZoot.

This is more than a name change. It marks the beginning of a bigger vision for the product, while staying true to the philosophy that made people love it in the first place:

We’re not trying to become another overcomplicated ATS platform filled with features nobody uses. Our goal is to build a powerful, modern hiring system that feels intuitive from day one.

What’s New in Version 4.0

Version 4.0 is one of the biggest updates we’ve released so far, with major improvements across UI, workflows, customization, and usability.

1. Completely Refreshed UI

We’ve redesigned large parts of the plugin experience to make everything cleaner, faster, and easier to use.

This includes:

• Refreshed admin dashboards
• Improved job listing UI
• Better usability and visual consistency
• A smoother overall workflow

The goal was simple: make hiring feel less cluttered and more efficient.

2. New Job Listing Layout

Your career page is often the first interaction candidates have with your company.

Version 4.0 introduces additional job listing layouts, giving you more flexibility in how openings are presented on your website.

Cleaner layouts. Better readability. A more modern experience for applicants.

3. New Jobs Block for the Block Editor

We’ve introduced a brand new block to help you display jobs more easily inside the WordPress block editor.

You can now:

• List jobs anywhere on your site
• Customize layouts visually
• Control the appearance without code
• Create more flexible career page designs

This makes building career pages much faster and more intuitive.

4. Resume Viewer is Now Built In

The Resume Viewer feature, previously available as a separate add-on, has now been merged directly into the core plugin.

You can now preview resumes directly inside the dashboard without downloading files manually.

5. Edit Applications

One of the most requested features is finally here.

You can now edit submitted applications directly from the admin dashboard, making it easier to correct information, update records, and manage candidates more efficiently.

6. Bulk Actions for Applications

Managing large numbers of applications just became much easier.

You can now bulk update application statuses, helping recruiters and teams save time during screening and review workflows.

7. Quick Edit for Jobs

Need to make small updates quickly?

Version 4.0 introduces Quick Edit support for jobs, allowing faster updates without opening the full editor every time.

Simple improvements like this make day-to-day hiring workflows noticeably smoother.

8. Improved Security & Stability

We’ve also spent significant time hardening security and improving the overall reliability of the plugin.

Under the hood, Version 4.0 includes:
